Urban Plains in the Movies

The Urban Plains Development will make an appearance at the Forx Film Fest this fall. Filmmaker Patrick Wynne, who has been shooting the “Only in Fargo” series of short films with Suite 171 for the development will be entering three ‘Urban Plains’ films into the festival. The three films Patrick has selected to enter in the festival include: ‘Courier Rabbits’, ‘Going Green’ and ‘Traffic Circle Etiquette’. To view these films and other Urban Plains viral videos, visit www.upfargo.com. The films will be viewed along with other Midwest student and independent films for a chance at winning a cash prize. The Forx Film Fest began in 2002 by Christopher Jacobs and Mark Landa. The festival focuses on low-budget student and independent movies. Recognizing the work of students and independent filmmakers in the upper Midwest, especially the North Dakota/Minnesota area, screening dates for the Festival are usually held in November. Submission deadlines are typically in early October.

Festival begins at 7:00 PM November 6, 2009. Saturday November 7, 2009 schedule includes a Question-and-answer session at 10:30am followed by an afternoon viewing session at 1pm and again at 7:00pm. Admission to the festival costs $10 per session or $25 for entrance into all three viewing sessions and the question-and-answer panel beginning at 10:30 am November 7, 2009.

Mike Dragosavich joins Urban Plains Development team

Mike Dragosavich, former NDSU kicker, has joined the team at Urban Plains. Dragosavich, as known as ‘Drago’, is more than a terrific athlete. His outgoing personality and great sense of humor make him a top pick for working with our clients. As of June 2009, Mike took charge of sales and leasing of the land. He will be heading up client relations, as well as dealing with development projects. Urban Plains is proud to welcome Mike to our community.
